History Of Aquinas College
Aquinas was founded in 1886 by the Dominican sisters, it comes from a catholic heritage. Aquinas began as a normal school for women that had yet to be experienced with the Dominican religion. In 1922 the Dominican sisters began to bring together the new college that they created with the normal school for women. The new college received a charter from Michigan to grant degrees in 1923. It was the first catholic school in the US to emerge into becoming co-ed and became reorganized as a Catholic Junior college in 1931.

Aquinas provides a liberal arts education, with emphasis on preparing students for their careers, leadership and how to treat others. Aquinas college have high values and is known for them .
